Don’t Miss History Channel’s ‘The Bible’ beginning Sunday

Every once in a while a gem comes out of hollywood, and it seems there may just be another gem coming from the creator of Survivor and the star of 'Touched by an Angel.'
I bumped into Mark Burnett and his wife Downey at the Legatus summit where they showed an extensive preview of the 10 hour epic which will play out on the History channel beginning the Sunday at 8pm.

The ambitious project covering the main stories from Genesis to Revelation was remarkable at least in the preview for its realism and faithfulness to the Scriptures.

And don't worry it's not boring by any means. It has the full CGI package we've come to expect from the modern entertainment media. So the kids want to watch TV and it's Lent? Well it is Sunday and this is 'The Bible'. Enjoy.

I hate to be a pessimist but when I've seen these kind of things on tv before, they usually try to subtly portray Christian beliefs as mythology. Hopefully maybe the History channel won't follow that trend.
