Mary Wagner has been in prison since August 15th, 2012, when she was arrested for witnessing to abortion-bound women in a Toronto facility. That was her sixth arrest since she took up her campaign in March 2010. In all, she’s spent nearly three years behind bars since then.

Mary will be in prison for Christmas this year, so to support her efforts some friends have organized a campaign to send her Christmas cards and letters.

Along with it, Campaign Life Coalition Youth has put together a short video explaining Mary’s cause.

By going to jail, Mary is defending our right to continue the crucial work of saving unborn children. Her campaign is not something that most of us are called to join, and most of us aren’t in a position to do it anyway because of family commitments, but it deserves our full support.

It’s a hard time of year to be away from family, let alone to be in jail for a just cause. The least we can do is let her know she’s in our thoughts and prayers this Christmas season.

Please use the following guidelines to make sure it passes all prison requirements:

1. Do not use any plastic cards, medals, stamps, stickers in your card.
2. Put your return address on the card as well as on the outside of the envelope.
3. Do not discuss the internal workings of the prison.
4. Remember that the mail scrutinizing guards will read everything and anything confidential.

Also, Campaign Life Coalition Youth has launched a Facebook event for the Christmas Card campaign. You can join it here.
