So You're Pregnant
And you didn't want to be? Feeling desperate because...
- you are unmarried
- still at school
- you're scared to tell parents
- no longer with the baby's father
- it is not your husband's child
- you feel you are too old
- you've enough children already
- your career is going well
- you're frightened of having a baby
- you are homeless
- you can't afford to have a baby
- everybody thinks you ought to have an abortion
If you are in any of these situation you may feel that you can't cope. Is abortion the answer? It is a final decision for you and
your baby. Remember you can never undo an abortion. Before you decide you should know what help you can have to continue your pregnancy - and also what some women have said about their abortions.
From all over the world evidence is accumulating that post-abortion syndrome is becoming a serious women's disease.
It's symptoms include:
1. Shock
2. Guilt
3. Loneliness
4. Lack of confidence
5. Dislike of sex
6. Shame and self hatred
7. Severe depression
These can result in Constant crying
… obsessive eating
… nightmares
… sleeplessness
… marital breakdown
To mention just a few things.
Abortion can harm your body too, not just your feelings. Abortion suddenly ends a natural process and can make it difficult for you to conceive another baby. It can cause problems with bleeding, infection and miscarriage of your next child.
We do not want to frighten you - just to tell you the facts that you won't get at the hospital or abortion agency.
