  • April 2, 1997 Breaking a probation order was proceded with, while breaking a court order and obstructing a peace officer were dropped, thereby eliminating the possibility of a trial by jury. Found guilty. On April 22, 1997 sentencing hearing was set.

  • April 28, 1997 Sentenced to six months by Judge D.A. Fairgrieve at Old City Hall. This was in addition to the three months she already served at the Toronto West Detention Centre.

  • September 2, 1997 Linda Gibbons returned to the Scott abortion mill to resume her ministry and was arrested. Although arrested for breaking the Ontario government injunction against pro-life activity, she was charged with "obstructing a peace officer," preventing arguments against the injunction on constitutional grounds before a jury. Observers are convinced this is due to doubts in the Attorney General's office about whether the injunction could withstand a court challenge.

  • May 5,1998 Released from jail

  • Sept. 9, 1998 Returned to Scott abortuary. Arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer. Ken Campbell and Anneliese Steden were arrested as well about an hour after Linda's. Rev. Campbell signed a release condition but Mrs. Steden refused to do so in solidarity with Linda and therefore remained imprisoned.

  • March 1, 1999 Linda, Anneliese Steden and Ken Campbell all acquitted of charges and released.
  • June 10, 1999 Linda returned and was arrested along with supporting protesters Emideo Galea and Bernard Crowley.
