US BISHOPS' LETTER MISINTERPRETED

WASHINGTON, DC, Oct 2 (LSN) - The US Catholic bishops issued a new pastoral letter yesterday which has been widely misinterpreted by the secular media. The letter is addressed to parents of homosexual children encouraging them to love their children.
Headlines from News Services like the following AP report from Desert News Service: ''Catholics advised to put love for gay kids above doctrine'', demonstrate the misconstruing of the bishops' letter. The letter, titled "Always Our Children" clearly states that ``it is not to be understood as an endorsement of ... a 'homosexual lifestyle'''.
