MCDONALD'S FORCED TO PAY FOR FAMILY PLANNING IN CHINA
BEIJING (LSN) - In Beijing, McDonald's 38 restaurants must pay for family planning. An official report, made public this month, included family planning on a list of 31 extra fees charged on top of taxes which costs each McDonald's thousands of dollars a year. Thus, McDonald's, albeit minimally, openly supports the government's one-child family-planning program as each restaurant must contribute 30 cents each year for every employee of child-bearing age.
