HULL, Que. (LSN) - The National Action Committee on the Status of Women has pledged to lobby more aggressively. Interestingly, the group which has been at the forefront of the push for abortion on demand in Canada, has focussed on the theme "Women's rights are human rights". This same motto was touted by Hillary Clinton at the UN in an attempt to make abortion on demand a univeral right covered under the UN's Universal Declaration on Human Rights.

This UN Declaration is scheduled to be revised next year. Some experts have said this may give rise to "unprecidented religious persecution" (Michael Schooyans) since "rights" such as abortion on demand would not be supported by Christians. It is no coincidence that this Canadian pro- abortion lobby group selected this theme. At the UN Canada has been one of the, if not the most imperious proponent of universal abortion on demand.
