PRO-ABORTIONISTS PUSH ABORTION IN BRAZIL PRIOR TO POPE'S VISIT
BRASILIA, Sept 26 (LSN) - Brazilian pro-abortion groups launched a campaign Friday, supporting a controversial abortion bill approved by the lower house of the Brazilian Congress in August. If approved the bill would mandate all public hospitals to commit abortions on women who claim to have been raped whose health is at risk. Pro-life groups in Brazil warn that the bill is phrased in such a way that it will automatically legalize abortion on demand.
Reuters News reported that the feminists and other anti-life groups involved want get their message to the pope during his upcoming visit. It is hoped that John Paul may encourage the Brazilian President to veto the bill.
