FRANCE'S REPORT ON RWANDA BLAMES UN AND US
PARIS, Dec 16 (LSN) - The French government has published the results of its parliamentary investigation into the Rwandan genocide on the internet. The report finds that the French government had no complicity in the slaughter of over 800,000 Rwandans. It, however, charges that the UN and the United States bear a measure of responsibility for the genocide. The report said UN "passiveness" was "mainly due to the refusal of the United States to envisage, after the debacle in Somalia, any immediate increase in the personnel and the capability of the U.N. force."
