XEROX CLAIMS STORY BIAS

SHARE: E-mail E-MAIL  Print PRINT

LOS ANGELES, Jan 20 (LSN) - Xerox corporation has claimed a story about the company in the London Telegraph was "totally false." The Telegraph reported that Xerox issues different coloured magnets to employees to denote their sexual orientation in a company project called "Safe Space."

In a letter from the company, Xerox admits to engaging in project "Safe Space," but denies any special colour designation denoting sexual orientation. However, in the letter Xerox reveals that the "Safe Space" project originated as a company project in AT&T and was adopted by Xerox and other companies.

This information is problematic since AT&T is known for their promotion of homosexuality. In fact, Arthur Ally, president of The Timothy Plan -- America's pro-life and pro-family mutual fund -- says the Plan refuses to invest in AT&T because of their "aggressive promotion of the homosexual agenda through marketing campaigns, sponsorship of the 'Gay Games,' mandatory 'sensitivity training' for all management personnel and their inclusion in the Stonewall Index (a compilation of companies considered to be 'Pro-Gay')."

Project "Safe Space" is designed to make homosexuality accepted and respected by employees of whatever company chooses to run the program, including Xerox.

"ROUTINE" INTERNATIONAL COURT PROSECUTIONS FOR PRO-LIFERS?

Angela King, Assistant Secretary-General and Special Advisor to the Secretary-General on Gender Issues and the Advancement of Women has predicted that more perpetrators of what the UN considers "sexual crimes, "will be prosecuted by international tribunals.

In an address to the opening meeting of the current session of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, Ms. King noted, "Although indictments for acts of sexual violence have been uncommon in the case of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, recent developments suggest that they will become a routine feature of most future indictments as the central role of rape and other sexual assaults in the genocide is acknowledged."

Recalling that the UN includes "forced pregnancy" in its designation of sexual crimes against women, there is some concern that King's prediction of "routine" prosecutions against perpetrators of "sexual crimes" at the international criminal tribunal could be used to persecute pro-lifers.

In a recent document, the UN noted that "all violations of the human rights of women in situations of armed conflict, including in particular murder, systematic rape, sexual slavery and forced pregnancy, are flagrant violations of international human rights and humanitarian law."

SHERIFF REFUSES TO CATER TO ABORTIONIST

SHARE: E-mail E-MAIL  Print PRINT

TAMPA, Fla, Jan 20 (LSN) - Lee County Sheriff John McDougall courageously refused the demand of an abortionist for help against pro-life demonstrators.

In December, abortionist Ali Azima wrote the Charlotte County sheriff's office complaining about a prayer vigil held outside one of his abortuaries in Port Charlotte. In response to the letter, Sheriff McDougall noted that he would carry out his constitutional duty to protect all citizens from illegal protests and activity -- "even a baby killer like yourself.'' The Sheriff went on to write that the police would "do everything within our power to assist the protesters who wish to protect the misguided mothers who come to your clinic of death.''
