PRO-LIFE GROUPS PREPARE FOR POPULATION PROPAGANDA
MERRILVILLE, Indiana, Apr 16 (LSN) - Preparing for the onslaught of pro-population control propaganda expected for the upcoming "Day of Six Billion," pro-life groups have begun to encourage pro-natalist attitudes. Despite the recent demographic reports of alarming de- population around the world forecasting imminent social security nightmares, population control groups are refusing to back down from their overpopulation mythology. The UN has arranged for October 12, 1999 to be commemorated as the "Day of Six Billion" as the world's population is expected to reach this level sometime this year. Speaking at high schools across the US, Jim Sedlak, director of Stop Planned Parenthood International (STOPP), told students "The world is facing a population shortage, and by early in the 21st century, there will be more people in the United States over 60 than under 20. The population pyramid has been turned upside down." Sedlak attributed this population shift to "26 years of legalized abortion, which has taken a minimum of 38 million people out of the work force." As a result, he said, the Social Security system, Medicare and health care costs are all out of control. Sedlak encouraged young people to get married and have large families. Sedlak's contentions are supported by the UN's own population figures which suggest that world population will begin to decline in 2050. Last monthPeter G. Peterson, the chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations and the director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, warned that due to current demographics the Boomer generation was "bust" since the government will not be able to shell out the retirement and health care "insurance" which they have paid for.
