But Toronto's Q-107 Still Proudly Features Him

DENVER, Colorado, Apr 28 (LSN) - Howard Stern, the "shock jock" featured proudly on Toronto's Q-107 radio station has reached new lows with his comments on the Colorado high school massacre. Rocky Mountain News quoted Stern as wondering why the murderers didn't try to have sex with some of their victims. Stern said some of the girls seen on TV escaping the school were "really good looking." "At least if you're going to kill yourself and kill all the kids, why wouldn't you have some sex?" said Stern.

Last August CHUM Ltd. announced its decision to remove the perverse radio "shock jock" from its Montreal CHOM-FM radio station and to cancel the television debut which was to be aired on Citytv Saturday nights. Packed with nudity, sexually explicit talk, swearing, and insults, the show reportedly failed what CHUM considered the high programming standards of the Broadcasting Act and the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council.

Pro-family leaders in Canada were appalled at Stern's comments and that Q-107 would air Stern's shows. Gwen Landolt of Real Women Canada told LifeSite that Stern's comments "show an unbelievable insensitivity and cruelty" to both the families involved and society that mourns with them. Concerned citizens are urged to contact Q-107's president as well as parent company, Western International Communications Ltd., to urge them to cancel the outrageous show.
