BC TO ATTEMPT TO APPEAL CHILD PORN RULING

VANCOUVER, Jan 19 (LSN) BC Attorney General Ujjal Dosanjh announced yesterday that the provincial government would attempt to appeal Supreme Court Justice Duncan Shaw's ruling which struck down parts of the Criminal Code criminalizing the possession of child pornography.

Pro-family forces in BC are urging all concerned people to express their thanks to Dosanjh, and to stress the importance of pursuing this case to the end, even if that means invoking the Charter of Rights' "notwithstanding clause."
