MORGENTALER: THE $17 MILLION/YEAR ABORTION MAN

OTTAWA, Nov 10 (LSN.ca) – From statistics and figures published on the website of the Canadian Abortion Rights Action League (CARAL) and the website of notorious Canadian abortionist Henry Morgentaler, one can ascertain that Morgentaler makes at least $17,083,764 per year from his business of killing unborn babies. Health researcher Isabelle Begin who discovered the information informed LifeSite News that Morgentaler owns and operates 8 clinics in 7 provinces in Canada.

Adding the numbers of abortions performed in the Morgentaler clinics (save for the Edmonton clinic figures, which are unavailable) and multiplying by the average cost of these abortions (as compiled from information on Morgentaler’s website) one can conclude that destroying pre- born humans makes a substantial contribution to Morgentaler’s comfortable livelihood. The calculation goes like this Average yearly revenue: $607.25/abortion x 28,133+ (no info for Edmonton) = $17,083,764 minimum yearly gross revenue.

A province by province breakdown of abortion provision is provided by CARAL at https://www.caral.ca/situation1.html . The site lists the number of abortions performed per week at the Morgentaler abortuaries. Further, the average fee Morgentaler charges for an abortion at his various “clinics” is available by clicking on the clinic locations from his website at https://www.morgentaler.ca./map.htm

Morgentaler’s lucrative private sector “health” industry is also subsidized substantially by taxpayers. A recent report by the Toronto Free Press revealed that Ontario taxpayers some $5 million in rent for the activist’s Toronto abortion mill. Interestingly, this happens to be his most lucrative abortuary.

SENATE CONSCIENCE LEGISLATION INTRODUCED

OTTAWA, Nov 10 (LSN.ca) – Senator Raymond Perrault introduced a bill last week which would protect the conscience of health care workers. The Senator’s Bill S-11 was originally introduced by Senator Stanley Haidasz. The bill would amend the Criminal Code to prohibit coercion in medical procedures that offend a person’s religion or belief that human life is inviolable from conception to natural death. The bill has been placed on the Order Paper for second reading on November 16.

The bill came in response to petitions from over 8,000 Canadians (mostly nurses and others connected to health care) to provide protection for health-care workers who refuse to assist in practices which go against their consciences.

Canada remains one of the few countries without such legislation. Health-care workers across Canada have experienced pressure to act against their consciences. Nurses have been coerced to assist with abortions; doctors are forced to refer patients for objectionable procedures; public-health workers are expected to disseminate controversial sex-education material; and pharmacists are pressured to provide abortion-causing drugs. Many have lost their jobs for refusing to co-operate in such practices, others have been demoted, and refused employment or professional certification; still others have quit to avoid anticipated abuse.

In April a deal cut between the Markham-Stoufville Hospital and eight pro-life nurses who were forced out of their jobs for refusing to participate in abortion was approved by the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. Nurses at the hospital are now allowed to refuse to participate if it is against their religious beliefs.

US HOUSE INITIATES COMMITTEE HEARINGS ON BABY PARTS MARKET

WASHINGTON, Nov 10 (LSN.ca) – Yesterday the US House passed a resolution calling for committee hearings on the burgeoning aborted baby parts market. Promoting the resolution in the House, Representative Joseph Pitts (R-PA) said that “based on reliable reports, abortion clinics are selling dead, unborn babies. Or, I should say, parts of babies and the older, the better, to middlemen. These middlemen, in turn, sell them to researchers. This means, more money for the abortion clinic. Instead of the problem of disposing of dead bodies, now, abortion clinics have a lucrative means of getting out of the way ‘unintended babies.'”

ALBERTA WARNS SCHOOLS ABOUT UNICEF CHILD RIGHTS VOTE

EDMONTON, Nov 10 (LSN.ca) – Dr. Lyle Oberg, the Alberta Minister of Learning sent a letter to the province’s school boards last week warning them to get parental permission before children are made to participate in the UNICEF sponsored National Election on the Rights of Youth. The National Post reports that in his letter, Oberg writes: “I would strongly encourage you to ensure that parents provide written consent before their children participate and that they be informed about the context, time and place of the election so that parents who object can withdraw their children from participating.”

Oberg notes that his office has been bombarded with phone calls from parents concerned that their children are being used in this politicized activity devoid of educational value.

The Ottawa Citizen reported today that a practicing homosexual couple in Canada is in federal court today seeking recognition of their “marriage”. Ross Boutilier, one of the pair, applied for “marriage leave” from his government job which would have given him a week of paid leave to have his homosexual “marriage”. The case is likely to head to the Canadian Human Rights Commission. https://www.ottawacitizen.com/national/991110/3124868.html

France’s Constitutional Council on Tuesday approved a law granting extensive legal rights to unmarried couples, including homosexuals thus removing all barriers to the law passed by the National Assembly in October. https://www.infobeat.com/stories/cgi/story.cgi?id=2562003353-…

Pro-life E-News Canada sent around a report yesterday indicating that abortionist Joseph Booker Jr. was sentenced to five months in prison, five months of house arrest, and ordered to pay a $3,000 fine as well as $45,000 back taxes for filing a false income tax return, which was out by nearly $100,000. https://vh60009.vh6.infi.net/region/docs/sent110999.htm

The Catholic News Service reported that following the news of the possible erection of the first abortion mill in Eerie PA, religious leaders gathered Nov. 2 to stand against it. “The Catholic Diocese of Erie will actively and vigorously oppose any abortion clinic,” said Bishop Donald W. Trautman at a news conference.

Canada is again demanding that the United States pay its so-called “debt” to the abortion pushing world body. This latest call comes from the Canadian ambassador to the UN. https://www.thestar.com/thestar/editorial/news/991110NEW17_FO…

In October, Charles Colson terminated his partnership with Amazon.com when he discovered that the Internet book distributor was selling pro-pedophile material such as a book called Varieties of Man/Boy Love. Some of his listeners, on their own initiative pursued the matter, even sending the information to Dr. Laura Schlessinger, who also made it public. Celebrating the success of this grassroots activity, Colson now reports that Amazon.com has ceased distributing Varieties of Man/Boy Love.
