VANCOUVER, Sept 29 (LSN) - A literary panel starring child pornographer John Sharpe is being funded in part by the Canada Council for the Arts and the B.C. Arts Council. LifeSite reported yesterday that Sharpe, who created controversy over his successful arguments against Canada's child pornography laws, is featured this week in a "literary panel" at Simon Fraser University. The panel, Sex, Drugs and the Law: Pushing the Boundaries, is organized by The Small Press Action Network and will run from Thursday to Sunday promoting controversial independent publishers.

The group hosting the panel received $2,000 from the B.C. council and up to $10,000 from the Canada Council last year according to reports from the Canadian Press.
