ABORTIONIST CHIEF OF STAFF AT CATHOLIC HOSPITAL
GRANITE CITY, ILL, Dec 5, 2000 (LSN.ca) - For the past three years an abortionist has been employed by a Granite City, Illinois Catholic hospital as the Chief of Staff, while operating his abortuary across the street. He reveals that Dr. Yogendra Shah, named chief of staff of St. Elizabeth Medical Center three years ago, performs some 7,000 abortions annually at his "Hope Clinic for Women" abortuary. The abortuary advertises on its websites that it offers abortions even beyond 24-weeks "on a case-by-case basis" and reminds underage teens considering an abortion that "No parental or spousal consent is required for a patient to have an abortion at our clinic."
St. Elizabeth's Medical Center is run by the Sisters of Divine Providence. The administrator of the hospital is Sister Mary Thomas.
