WASHINGTON, Feb 29 (LSN.ca) - From the makers of the famous Batman, Superman and comic book series' comes a comic book about gay superheroes who are depicted smooching and in bed together. DC Comics, has produced The Authority whose characters Apollo and Midnighter, are described as "a loving couple who cohabit in a giant spaceship." Although the Authority series has been running since last year, next month the gay couple will "come out of the closet".

The comics are devised and drawn by homosexual activists bent on making homosexual acts seem as normal as possible. Mark Miller, the Scottish writer of The Authority's latest plot line and the comic's artist, Frank Quitely, also based in Glasgow, have ensured that both characters have no effeminate qualities. The Times reports that "Apollo absorbs his power from the sun, which makes him superstrong, able to fly, and gives him heat vision. Midnighter cannot fly, but is also superstrong and wears a black leather mask and coat similar to Batman. Both, however, possess bulging physiques."
