PEDOPHILIA ADVOCATE FEATURED IN CATHOLIC CHURCH CONCERT
TORONTO, Nov. 2 (LSN.ca) - LifeSite has learned that an Oct. 27 concert at St. Basil's Catholic Church in Toronto featured a composition by Gerald Hannon, Canada's leading advocate of "intergenerational sex," or pedophilia.
The event was the inaugural concert of Kammermusik Toronto, a choir and orchestra under the direction of Keith Muller, who is also the music director of St. Basil's Church. The programme noted that St. Basil's, connected to St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto, is Kammermusik's home venue.

MEDIA MISREPRESENTS CAMPAIGN LIFE ON ABORTION REFERENDA
OTTAWA, Nov 2 (LSN.ca) - Southam News Service quoted selectively from an interview with Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) National President Jim Hughes in a story about the Alliance party's referenda policy and abortion. The story, headlined in the Ottawa Citizen as "Anti-abortion group favours referendum" gave the mistaken impression that CLC supports the concept of a referendum on abortion. The story was replicated in other news reports. During the lengthy interview Hughes was presented with the hypothetical situation of an already arranged national referendum on abortion and asked what Campaign Life Coalition's response would be. His reply to that hypothetical situation was incorrectly written and headlined as though CLC favours referenda. Hughes instead emphasized that CLC has always opposed referenda as a way of resolving the life and death abortion and euthanasia issues.
In a letter to the editor of the Citizen correcting the article Hughes wrote: "I clearly stated that the Canadian Alliance referendum policy was not our preference. We oppose referenda in principle. The ideal situation for which we aim is to elect pro-life Members of Parliament who would end abortion through a free vote. Lacking this opportunity, pro-lifers will utilize the referendum policy, or any positive means, to keep the abortion issue "on the front burner" and to promote debate ... We would educate through discussion and healthy debate in order to engender public support to end the killing of unborn Canadians by abortion."
PRO-LIFE CATHOLICS REMOVED FROM CHURCH AT HILLARY CLINTON SPEECH
ROCHESTER, NY, Nov 2 (LSN.ca) - A small group of pro-life Catholics, some of who were praying the Rosary and others singing "We Shall Overcome", were escorted out of a Catholic Church by police Sunday while Hillary Clinton was speaking at the church. The Atlanta Times Union reported Monday that one protester shouted "No politics in church!" A larger group of pro-lifers picketed the event with pro-life posters outside the church.
Having Clinton and other pro-abortion politicians address Catholic audiences in Catholic Churches, schools and other church grounds has been severely criticized by church leaders. In September, Bishop James T. McHugh of Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY sent a letter to all the priests in his diocese laying out a policy regarding pro-abortion politicians. He wrote: "The policy... means that no pro-abortion public official or candidate is to be invited to address Catholic agencies or organizations, school or parish groups, even if he/she does not intend to express their pro-abortion views."
The bishop explained: "The reason for this is that it would be foolish and counterproductive to provide a platform to those who favor or support a public policy of abortion on demand or of euthanasia or assisted suicide. It would also be extremely misleading to provide such persons a platform to promote their views, even on other issues, lest they claim that the Church somehow implicitly tolerates their rejection of Church teaching on pro-life issues."

ONTARIO MEDICAL ASSOCIATION PUSHES OVER-THE-COUNTER ABORTIFACIENTS
TORONTO, Nov 2 (LSN.ca) - The Ontario Medical Association has passed a resolution in favour of over-the-counter sales of the abortifacient morning-after pill. Dr. Albert Schumacher, the group's president is promoting the idea for government acceptance. The OMA is also pushing the Ontario College of Pharmacists to agree to the plan, which would place the moral responsibility for the abortions that take place on the shoulders of the pharmacists and leave the doctors out of the equation.
Not surprisingly, the father of abortion in Canada, Henry Morgentaler added his voice to the demand for easy access to abortifacients.
In a document released earlier this week, the Vatican's Pontifical Academy for Life warned that those who distribute the abortifacient morning-after pill are "morally responsible" for an abortion.
