"ICC is the Instrument for one world government with emphasis on abortion and feminism"

UNITED NATIONS, Sept 14 (LSN.ca) - Russia became the 112th signatory to the treaty for the establishment of an international criminal court (ICC) yesterday as Canada officially launched a global campaign to urge signers to take the next step of ratifying the statute. The Court will assume universal jurisdiction in the areas it defines once the treaty establishing the Court, known as the Rome Statute, receives 60 ratifications. Canada, which is among the 19 nations that have ratified the statute thus far, is pushing for countries to ratify prior to December 31.

Speaking at the United Nations before his address to the Millennium Assembly, Foreign Affairs Minister Lloyd Axworthy said, "Canada has been at the forefront of this groundbreaking initiative from its inception." Gwen Landolt, a lawyer with REAL Women Canada told LifeSite that she has obtained a copy of a Canadian manual, paid for with taxpayer dollars, which was sent to all countries of the world describing how to adopt the ICC. The report was issued by the International Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development (ICHRDD) with assistance and funding from the federal departments of Justice and Foreign Affairs.

The manual says that the ICHRDD "is an active member of the NGO coalition for an ICC", an NGO headed up by the one world government promoting World Federalist Movement. The manual also says "the ICHRDD is a key partner in the Women's Caucus for Gender Justice." The Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute reported in March on a Women's Caucus for Gender Justice pamphlet saying "withholding abortion from raped women should be explicitly defined as a war crime and a crime against humanity." Landolt told LifeSite "The ICC is the instrument to promote a one world government and to implement one world government with an emphasis on abortion and feminism."

Landolt's concerns about the ICC are laid out in today's first Special Report at:
