OPENLY HOMOSEXUAL CANDIDATE SEEKS ALLIANCE NOMINATION
MONTREAL, Sept 29 (LSN.ca) - Canadian Alliance MP Rahim Jaffer, is backing an openly homosexual candidate to represent the Canadian Alliance in the Montreal riding currently held by Bloc leader Gilles Duceppe. Stephan Prud'Homme announced his candidacy Thursday to a small crowd gathered in a "gay" bar in the east end of Montreal and was presented by Jaffer. In a quote on CBC radio Prud'Homme said: "I made the decision to go with the Canadian Alliance because Stockwell Day told me nothing's going to change (for gays), we keep the rights that we have." Adoption, and rights to artificial reproduction for lesbians and other troublesome "rights" are in question.
In May at a Gala for the homosexual activist group, Equality for Gays and Lesbians Everywhere (EGALE), Jaffer showed up apparently on behalf of the Alliance. Hedy Fry represented the Liberals, Svend Robinson the NDP, and Scott Brison the PCs at the event.
