ONTARIO PRO-LIFE LEADER JERRY YOUNG DIES
MARKHAM, ON, July 13, 2001 (LSN.ca) - The pro-life community in Ontario is mourning the passing of Jerry Young (1933-2001), a pro-life leader long involved with the Family Coalition Party of Ontario (FCP), the provinces only pro-life party. According to current FCP president Giuseppe Gori, Jerry has been on the Executive of the party as Vice President, President and Past President for some 13 years. Mr. Gori relates that what kept Young going in that seemingly impossible struggle was that "no other voluntary work was more important to him than doing his best to reverse the atrocity of abortion, camouflaged by politically correct lies."
Gori described Young as a man of great faith with "the tranquility of a clear conscience, during every day of his life and when he was close to death." He is survived by his wife Marie and his children. Marie noted, "Jerry died, very peacefully and gracefully" early Thursday morning. The funeral will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Stouffville, Ontario. Prayers are requested.
