RUSSIA APPROVES 5 YEAR BAN ON CLONING HUMANS

MOSCOW, July 30, 2001 (LSN.ca) - On Friday the Russian government passed a temporary ban on human cloning to last for five years. Xinhua news service reports that Academician Lev Kiselyov, chairman of the scientific council of the Russian national program Human Genome, told reporters that the Russian government has also forbidden the import and export of cloned human embryos.
