U.S. CATHOLIC HIERARCHY'S CHOICE OF ADVISORS SURPRISE PORN/GAY EXPERTS
Getting their 'expert' advice from some who covered up sex between men and children
WASHINGTON, August 23, 2002 (LSN.ca) - Two experts on homosexuality and
pornography have criticized the U.S. Catholic Bishops' choice for advisors on the clerical abuse scandal, describing them in a Washington Times column as "Strange bedfellows."
Judith Reisman, the author of "Kinsey: Crimes and Consequences," "Kinsey, Sex and Fraud," and "Soft Porn Plays Hardball"; and Dennis Jarrard, who served as adviser to the Los Angeles County Commission on Obscenity and Pornography (1991-2001) and as chairman of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Commission on Obscenity and Pornography (1986-1992), wrote together yesterday that "the Catholic bishops are getting their 'expert' advice on pedophilia from people who have covered up or even defended sex between men and children."
The U.S. bishops recently chose Dr. Paul McHugh as chief behavioural scientist for their sex crime review board. Yet McHugh once defended Johns Hopkins' notorious Sexual Disorders Clinic, which treats molesters, for concealing multiple incidents from police despite a state law requiring staffers to report them.
