VATICAN ANNOUNCES MEMBERS OF JOINT US-VATICAN SEXUAL ABUSE COMMISSION
ROME, October 23, 2002 (LSN.ca) - The Vatican has annoucned the members of the mixed commission of the Holy See and the United States Catholic Bishops Conference to review the norms and the charter of the U.S. bishops' new sexual abuse policy.
Members from the Vatican include:
Cardinal Darío Castrillón Hoyos, Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy;
Archbishop Julián Herranz, President of the Pontifical Council for the Legislative Witnesses;
Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone, Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith;
Archbishop Francisco Monterisi, Secretary of the Congregation for the Bishops.
Member from the USCCB include:
Cardinal Francis Eugene George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago;
William Joseph Levada, Archbishop of Saint Francisco;
Thomas George Doran, Bishop of Rockford;
William Edward Lori, Bishop of Bridgeport.
