ABORTION PILL COMPANY CLAIMS MORE THAN 100,000 HAVE USED RU-486 IN U.S.

WASHINGTON, September 24, 2002 (LSN.ca) - Danco Labratories, which markets the abortion pill Mefeprex (RU-486) in the United States issued a release today boasting that "more than 100,000 U.S. women have used Mifeprex(a), the early abortion pill, since FDA approval in September 2000 and product availability in November 2000."

The company, which had the pill manufactured in China and imported to the U.S., reports that "sales in the United States are 36 percent higher for the first eight months of this year compared to last year." The release also notes that the abortion pill "is now approved in 26 countries including major European countries and the United States."
