HOUSTON, April 2, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A Texas district judge has dismissed a "divorce" application by two men who entered a civil union in Vermont last year and now want the union dissolved in Texas.

Beaumont State District Judge Tom Mulvaney had decided to grant the divorce but Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott intervened, saying the court is not able to make a divorce where no marriage exists.
