DOLLY THE CLONED SHEEP STUFFED AND ON DISPLAY AFTER PREMATURE DEATH
LONDON, April 9, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Dolly the cloned sheep has been stuffed and placed on exhibit at the Edinburgh International Science Festival. The famed cloned sheep who was born in an experiment in which 275 cloned sheep embryos were killed in cloning attempts, had to be put down in February at the tender age of six due to lung disease which followed another diagnosis of arthritis.
Dolly's fame as the first cloned adult mammal raised hopes for successful cloning however, her premature death and the fact that she was the sole survivor of 276 trial embryos has seriously reduced the acceptance of cloning of human beings by most scientists.
