MADRID, August 5, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Controversial Italian infertility specialist Severino Antinori has, according to media reports, "confirmed" the existence of a cloned human being. Speaking to the ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology) conference he said, "'documented proof with a photograph of the five-month-old cloned foetus will be published shortly in a medical journal.''

Antinori said the child was healthy and implied that other embryos produced by human cloning which may have been disabled were weeded out.
