ABORTION LOBBY NARAL TRIES TO 'FRESHEN ITS IMAGE' (AGAIN)

WASHINGTON, January 6, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The largest pro-abortion lobby in the United States is relaunching itself under another new name, in response to what the New York Times calls "the most hostile atmosphere" for abortion rights in three decades. Their stated goals are to prevent the reelection of President Bush in 2004 and what they see as Bush supporters' determination to reverse Roe v. Wade.

The National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League hopes to "freshen its image" by changing its name to Naral Pro Choice America - the organization's third name change since 1969.

"Through our name change we are underscoring that our country is pro-choice," said Kate Michelman, president of the organization. "It is the right name for this moment in history."

Pro-life advocates have been having success in educating the public about the crass hypocrisy of the "pro-choice" slogan used successfully in the past by the abortion movement. It is curious therefore that NARAL has chosen to add the worn out phrase to its name.

Pro-abortion leaders vehemently oppose the right to mandated informed choice for distressed pregnant mothers, the choice to not fund elective abortions through taxes, the right of third world nations to accept desperately needed aid without abortion strings attached and the public's right to balanced information on the issue.

The angry, totalitarian tactics of abortion ideologues is finally receiving more light thanks especially to the change in the U.S. presidency, the free flow of news and facts on the Internet and the ageing of the out-of-date 60s generation of social misfits.
