ABORTIONIST'S SECRET SALARY REVEALED AFTER PROVINCE LOSES COURT BATTLE
TORONTO, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The top billing general practitioner in Toronto in 1998-99 was an abortionist say figures which the Ontario government refused to release prior to a court battle over its failure to disclose the information. The Globe and Mail fought with the province for almost three years and in the end the province was forced to divulge that the family physician (who acts mostly as an abortionist) billed $522,695 for fiscal year and committed 2,280 abortions during that time period.
With the public Ontario Health Insurance Plan paying over $100 to the doctor for an abortion, at least $242,882 of the unnamed doctor's salary would have come directly from the abortions. The paper reported that "the doctor performed 2,180 abortions before or at 16 weeks gestation, a procedure for which medicare pays $103.40. The doctor performed 100 other abortions, done after 16 weeks gestation, for which the rate is $174.70."
Ontario went to two courts trying to prevent publication of the top 10 most frequently billed procedures that the highest-billing Toronto family physician or general practitioner had made for that given year. In addition to abusing taxpayers by paying for elective abortions, the cost of the court cases to cover up the information was substantial. As well, the courts awarded the Globe $23,226. Interestingly, the Globe points out that "Ontario's quest to keep that information -- and the amounts individual physicians charge to the health-care system -- secret means the public has no way of knowing where their tax dollars are going."

PRESIDENT BUSH INVITED TO MARCH FOR LIFE BY ORGANIZERS
March will take place on Wednesday
WASHINGTON, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - "The 30th annual March for Life begins at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 22," announced Nellie Gray, president of the March for Life Fund. The March for Life is a peaceful demonstration to urge the overturning of the Supreme Courts infamous Roe v. Wade decision on January 22, 1973.
"We have invited President Bush," Gray said. "We pledge support to stop the home-grown terrorism of individuals and governmental agencies participating in the intentional killing of an estimated 4,000 pre-born children in our country each day."
The theme of this 30th annual March for Life is "Affirm the Sanctity of Each Human Life by Word and Deed." Gray said, "this theme charges each American not only to say one is pro-life, but also to act in accord with life principles, which hold that our unalienable right to life endowed by Our Creator vests in each human at fertilization. Thus, it is equally as heinous intentionally to kill a one-cell pre-born human as it is intentionally to kill a larger pre-born or an innocent born human. There is no justification for the state or any individual intentionally to kill an innocent born or pre-born human in existence at fertilization. Murder is not a feminist/abortionist's right of 'privacy.'"
"Yet each American must now live side-by-side with the slaughter of an estimated 4,000 pre-borns each day, and America suffers the massacre of an estimated 42,000,000 pre-born humans and their children's children due to Roe v. Wade. Feminists/abortionists cover up this horror of innocent blood as if abortion were 'respectable.' Nevertheless, it is still the responsibility of our government to provide for the general welfare and stop the intentional killing of even one innocent born or pre-born human in our country. No exceptions. No compromise," said Gray.

U.N. EDUCATIONAL BRANCH SLAMMED IN U.S. CONGRESS FOR ABORTION ASSOCIATION
WASHINGTON, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A U.S. Congressman from Texas introduced a bill earlier this month urging that the U.S. refuse to rejoin the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) due to their association with abortion. The Honorable Ron Paul noted January 8 that "UNESCO has been fully supportive of the United Nations' Population Fund (UNFPA) in its assistance to China's brutal coercive population control program."
Paul recalled that "in 1984 President Ronald Reagan withdrew the United States from membership in that UNESCO, citing egregious financial mismanagement, blatant anti-Americanism, and UNESCO's general anti-freedom policies." The Congressman also pointed out that "UNESCO meddles in the education affairs of its member-countries and has sought to construct a U.N.-based school curriculum for American schools."

POLISH PRESIDENT OPPOSES REFERENDUM TO LIBERALISE ABORTION LAW
WARSAW, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski responded to a request for a referendum on abortion by opposing any changes to the country's pro-life legislation.
In 1997 the Polish high court struck down a permissive abortion law as unconstitutional. The move was later approved by Parliament. The lax abortion law, imposed by the "former" communists, allowed doctors to kill preborn children up to 12 weeks of age if the mother was deemed to face financial or emotional difficulties.
The law thus reverted to a 1993 law passed by the then Solidarity government which restricted abortion to those situations which endangers the mother's life or when pregnancy results from rape or incest. The 1993 law came after four decades of abortion on demand under communism.

UK DOCUMENTARY BLAMED FOR BRITON'S SWISS ASSISTED SUICIDE
LONDON, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) in the UK has criticised documentary-makers for undermining the welfare and the right to life of disabled people by their treatment of assisted suicide. Motor Neurone Disease sufferer Reginald Crew, who is reported to have died by suicide today, said he got the idea about how to kill himself after seeing a TV documentary about overseas groups willing to help disabled and elderly people end their lives.
Only a few such cases have been reported, but others have occurred without publicity.
Concern has also been raised that the Crew family may have been advised by an English group that wants to legalise killing of elderly and disabled people. If such a group has assisted or encouraged Mr Crew to commit suicide it could stand in breach of the 1961 Suicide Act, which forbids assisting suicide. SPUC plans to raise this matter with the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Paul Tully, General Secretary of SPUC, said: "If the media had broadcast a documentary about the high suicide rate among teenage remand prisoners which helped more remand prisoners to commit suicide, it would be regarded as utterly irresponsible, and the media would bear some of the blame for such deaths. In this case, by publicising the details of the groups involved, the media is promoting death for elderly and disabled people and should be held to account.

EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND STAR WALKS OUT OF AMA AWARDS BECAUSE OF ONSLAUGHT OF VULGARITY
Felt like she was "in the Roman Coliseum" - fans support her move
LOS ANGELES, January 17, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that "EVERYBODY Loves Raymond" star Patricia Heaton stormed out of the American Music Awards program last Monday because of the "onslaught of lewd and off-colour remarks" by the awards program hosts, the Osbourne family. Heaton refused to go on stage for her segment of the televised show.
Heaton told the Dealer "I'm no prude, but this was such a vulgar and disgusting show… What was passing for humour basically ranged from stupid to vulgar - and I just thought, 'I'm not going to be part of this.'"
The prominent TV star was supposed to present a video retrospective encompassing the last 30 years of the American Music Awards. Instead, she stood up and walked out of the Hollywood Auditorium saying she was disgusted.
"The entire evening became about bleeping," she told the Dealer . "It was as if they were trying to become more like the MTV awards. But it's one thing if this kind of stuff is on MTV at 10 at night. It's quite another if it's on ABC at 8 o'clock."
"It felt like I was in the Roman Colosseum. As far as I'm concerned, it was an affront to anyone with a shred of dignity, self-respect and intelligence."
A Patricia Heaton web sites states "Patricia's walkout at the AMA…has definitely struck a chord with a lot of people out there!" and that "the support that has been coming is just fantastic." http://www.patriciaheatononline.com/main.html

CANADIAN NATIVES RECEIVE MOST GENEROUS EDUCATION VOUCHERS
Value of school choice recognized for natives but not for other Canadians
TORONTO, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Canada's National Post newspaper reports today the federal government has been quietly giving Native students the full amount of their public education funding amount toward the cost of private schooling. No other Canadians receive this benefit, although there is limited government assistance towards private schooling costs in a number of Canadian provinces.
The private schooling funding for Natives has helped to overcome the dismal failure rates among Native students and has proved the benefit of alternative, private education.

ALABAMA JUDGE USES NOVEL TACTIC TO GET TEENS TO RECONSIDER ABORTION
MONTGOMERY, Ala., January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Alabama is one of 32 states where parental consent laws or notification laws or both are reportedly enforced. In most cases this means that a girl under 18 who becomes pregnant and wants an abortion without parental consent must first obtain permission from a juvenile court judge.
Judge Walter Mark Anderson III is one such judge, profiled in the New York Times last week as "a conservative Republican who says he hates abortion - and hates granting such petitions" -- but who does his best to discourage abortion during the hearing. One tactic he uses is to appoint a lawyer to represent the unborn child, and to cross-examine and inform the young lady that she would be ending a life, and that abortion has many other potential complications.
"I think the procedures before were pretty much a rubber stamp," Judge Anderson told the Times. "You asked for it, you got it; not many questions asked. Now it's a little bit different. There are questions asked. ... I'm not the one that ends the life of an unborn child. But I'm sort of a gatekeeper. If I open the gate, then there's nobody else to say no."

PRO-LIFE U.S. SENATOR PROMISES TO PASS PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION LEGISLATION
WASHINGTON, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Pro-lifers in Washington are capturing the distraught attention of pro-abortion opponents and media, saying they "have their first chance in years to put a dent in abortion rights now that Republicans control the House, Senate and the White House," says a report from Associated Press.
"We will pass the first significant pro-life legislation actually limiting abortions in 30 years," said Sen. Sam Brownback, a Kansas Republican. It is expected that Congress will finally pass a partial-birth abortion ban now that Democrats are evicted from control of the Senate and White House.
Rep. Chris Smith, New Jersey Republican, added, "From our side, we're going to assert even more, with compassion but with earnestness, that the Holocaust of the unborn has to stop."

HOLLYWOOD MAGAZINE CANCELS AD EXPOSING KINSEY
LOS ANGELES, January 20, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Variety, a leading entertainment magazine, has changed its mind about publishing a paid advertisement that warns industry readers and moviegoers of the truth about Alfred Kinsey, the fraudulent sex researcher who will be lionized in an upcoming Hollywood movie.
But Judith Reisman, author of a book exposing Kinsey's deceit and pedophilia, believes Variety cancelled the ad because it would embarrass Hollywood, "who hypocritically scream 'censorship' when we protest their sex and sadism fare."
Among her allegations is that one of Kinsey's 'research' sources was a Nazi officer, whose young victims "had to choose between rape or the gas chamber." Reisman told WorldNetDaily, "Neeson plays an anti-Nazi hero in 'Schindler's List,' and now he honours Kinsey, who thanked a former Gestapo director of a Polish town ... for his rapes of children."
