ADULT BONE MARROW CELLS 'TAKE HEAT OFF' EMBRYOS

LONDON, April 30, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Some media are beginning to admit that research involving adult stem cells is yielding better results than those derived from human embryos. In many circles, the latter continue to have a near-mystical "superior potential to be transformed into other cells" and to cure diseases -- an unproven assertion hyped by Hollywood actors such as Christopher Reeve and Michael J. Fox.
"New evidence suggesting bone marrow can regenerate damaged nerve tissue could mean the controversial use of embryonic stem cells to treat debilitating disorders is now obsolete," says a report from South Africa's The Star, a multiethnic newspaper based in Johannesburg.
