British Law against Promotion of Homosexuality in Schools Scrapped
LONDON, September 19, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A British law erected in 1988 under Conservative Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, which prevented the promotion of homosexuality in classroom sex education classes, has been struck down. Homosexual activists in Britain have lobbied against the law referred to as 'Section 28' since its inception.
Gay activists use discussion of homosexuality in classrooms to advance total acceptance of the lifestyle while rarely providing full disclosure about the many associated medical risks of engaging in homosexual activity. In Canada, homosexual activists fought to have pro-homosexuality propaganda books placed in kindergarten and grade one classrooms. After school trustees in Surrey British Columbia objected to having books such as "Heather has Two Mommies" in the classrooms, activists fought the decision all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada, which ruled the books could not be barred from the school.
