KANSAS February 17, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Another US bishop has instituted a no-welcome policy for pro-abortion "Catholic" politicians. Archbishop James P. Keleher, the bishop of Kansas City KS., has published a statement in the diocesan newspaper, The Leaven, asking Catholic organizations under his jurisdiction to stop inviting pro-abortion speakers to their events.

The statement came after pro-abortion "Catholic" Governnor of Kansas, Kathleen Sebelius spoke at the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth.

The next day, the statement appeared in the Leaven. Said the Archbishop, "it is imperative that our Catholic churches, schools and institutions make every effort not only to support the pro-life movement, but especially to ensure that the public understand our unequivocal stand on this issue."
