TALLAHASSEE, July 8, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A prosecutor who was asked by Florida Governor Jeb Bush to investigate possible criminal activity in relation to Terri Schiavo’s collapse in 1990 has concluded that there was no wrongdoing in the case.

The investigator was asked to look into a discrepancy between Michael Schiavo’s testimony that Terry Schiavo’s collapse occurred at 4:30 am, although paramedics were not alerted until 5:52 am. State Attorney Bernie McCabe said Michael Schiavo’s claim that he had contacted 911 immediately after Terri’s collapse were consistent, despite gaps in the record.

“Based on your conclusions, I will follow your recommendation that the inquiry by the state be closed,” the Governor said in a letter, as reported by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Terri Schiavo died from dehydration March 31 after Michael successfully obtained a court-ordered removal of her feeding tube.
