TORONTO, June 13, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Numerous companies have affiliated themselves through sponsorship of the Toronto Gay Pride parade. Included in the list are: Labatt’s beer – diamond sponsor; TD and Canada Trust banks – platinum sponsors; Via Rail, Air Canada and Showcase television – gold sponsors; Rogers cable television, IKEA, Naya water, and Hewlett-Packard – silver sponsors, and Pizza Pizza and OPSEU (Ontario Public Service Employees Union) – bronze sponsors. CityTV and Toronto Star – the “official newspaper”– are listed as media sponsors.

For Toronto residents who wish to avoid the display, the parade is taking place Sunday June 26, beginning at 2 p.m. The entire week has scheduled “Gay Pride” events, beginning Monday June 20. A “Dyke March” focusing on lesbianism is planned for Saturday June 25 at 2 p.m.

For Torontonians who wish to avoid the parade and its accompanying nudity and other gay exhibitionism, the following route is described by the Pride website for Sunday’s parade: “The Pride Parade will commence at the corner of Bloor Street East at Church Street, moving westward to Yonge Street, proceeding south on Yonge Street to Gerrard Street, moving eastward to finish at Church & Gerrard Streets.” The “Dyke March,” scheduled for Saturday, route is described as follows: “Start(s) at Church and Hayden Streets, going north on Church to Bloor, west on Bloor to Yonge and then south on Yonge to Carlton St . . . will then head east along Carlton back to Church St.”

The “Grand Marshal” of the event, homosexual activist Salah Bachir, was featured on LifeSiteNews.com in February. Bachir, also the president of Famous Players Media, subjected viewers to pro same-sex “marriage” ads at theatres before movies beginning in February. He confirmed to LifeSiteNews.com at the time that he had donated the ads.
