Purchase of Christmas Music CD By Pro-Life Priest is Great Way to Support LifeSiteNews
Fr.Louis DiRocco was pro-life lobbyist at United Nations for number of years
By Steve Jalsevac
December 1, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Fr. Louis Di Rocco, the pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in the small hamlet of Marmora, Ontario, is a self-described music fanatic. He is also a veteran of the pro-life movement and has just produced his second Christmas CD as a fundraiser for the benefit of Canada's national pro-life organization, Campaign Life Coalition. The CD has also been made available to LifeSiteNews readers with 50% of the profits from each sale via LifeSiteNews going to support the service.
LifeSiteNews readers are urged to purchase the CD for Christmas presents or for their own listening pleasure. Fr. Louis's last CD was much enjoyed by those who received it and this one is said to be even better.
The new CD of beautiful Christmas music is entitled 'Sing Noel'. It features 22 beautiful songs, in several languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Polish. You can listen to such classics as 'O Come O come Emmanuel', Schubert's 'Ave Maria', 'O Little Town of Bethlehem' and 'Stille Nacht' ('Silent Night' in German). The songs are performed by gifted soloists and choirs, with full orchestral arrangements.
Fr. Di Rocco, who for a number of years was a pro-life lobbyist at the UN, started arranging and composing about three and a half years ago when he discovered computer programmes that allowed him to incorporate a whole orchestra into his music recordings. He believes this CD is much better than his first, especially the quaility of the recorded sound and the orchestral accompaniment.
There are songs in many languages including three in Latin, three in French, two in Italian, three in Spanish and two in Polish. Father Di Rocco recorded most of the tracks himself but the final mixing and mastering was done in a studio. The singers all donated their services for the pro-life cause.
As on his first CD, all the selections are religious. Fr. Di Rocco feels strongly that a Christmas CD should be about Christ and not snowflakes and reindeer. He sings three of the songs himself on the album. Fr. Di Rocco has studied voice and guitar but is self-taught as an arranger and composer.
By purchasing 'Sing Noel' you can brighten your Christmas with uplifting Christmas songs and help LifeSiteNews. Share the sounds of music and give the CD as a gift to friends, family and employees.
