Official Announcement of Arch-Abortionist Morgentaler Receiving Order of Canada

Architects of Abortion and Gay 'Marriage' Both Awarded Under Conservatives

By John-Henry Westen

OTTAWA, July 1, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Canada has taken another blow to its dignity on this Canada Day, the 400th anniversary of the founding of the City of Quebec.  Today Governor General Michaëlle Jean named arch-abortionist Henry Morgentaler a Member of the Order of Canada - the nation's highest civilian honor.

The official list of appointments to the Order (which can be viewed here: http://www.gg.ca/media/doc.asp?lang=e&DocID=5447 ) noted that Morgentaler was being honored "for his commitment to increased health care options for women, his determined efforts to influence Canadian public policy and his leadership in humanist and civil liberties organizations."

Strangely, both Morgentaler and last year the architect of homosexual 'marriage' in Canada were awarded the nation's highest honor under the Conservative Government.

Last year, Rev. Brent Hawkes of the Metropolitan Community Church in Toronto, the same man who flouted Canadian law by illegally "marrying" a homosexual couple in 2001, and who subsequently pushed homosexual "marriage" on Canada through the back-door of the judicial system, was appointed to the Order of Canada.
