Yesterday LifeSiteNews.com inaugurated its own Facebook group, called "Fans and Friends of LifeSiteNews.com." If you are not already a member of Facebook, you will have to open up an account before you can join.
Facebook is the fastest growing online networking utility and in many cases is having a surprising impact on important issues around the world. By joining LifeSiteNews' Facebook group, friends and fans of our news service will be able to gather together in one place, to post and respond to various discussion topics, to engage in debate on the issues of the day, to easily communicate with LifeSiteNews' staff and writers, and to give us your feedback on anything and everything.
For those who wish to lend a hand to LifeSiteNews and its work, Facebook offers numerous opportunities. In particular, those who are part of the online community and have a list of friends can invite their friends to join our group, and can encourage friends to check out our website and sign up for our daily news reports.
Due mostly to a very tight budget, LifeSiteNews.com has rarely been able to advertise our website. Our wide and devoted readership has come about almost entirely through a process of word of mouth, Internet referrals and Internet searching. LifeSiteNews' Facebook group simply takes that word of mouth process into the digital sphere, utilizing the networking capabilities of Facebook to boost our readership and therefore our overall impact - the reason for the existence of LifeSiteNews.
