Comment on July 9 News
Dear Readers,
The protest at Rideau Hall, the official residence of Canada's Governor General, was a great success as you will read today. It is a very unusual occurrence in Canada. The Morgentaler Order of Canada issue is definitely still very much alive and indications are that more people than the public is aware have returned or are planning to return their Order of Canada medals - another most unusual development. It will be interesting to see how things develop in the days ahead. Rabbi Levin's comments on the issue are refreshingly blunt and honest. Canada could use such a rabbi.
The National Post reported on a poll indicating that 65% of Canadians approve of the award being given to abortionist Morgentaler. Don't believe it. Everything that we have been observing clearly says just the opposite. Canadians in general, whether against abortion, not concerned about the subject and even in many cases supportive of abortion rights, are totally turned off by the sleazy process that was involved in giving the award to this most inappropriate person.
Don't forget to keep promoting the petition at http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/jul/08070702.html. It's not just for Canadians. The hope is to also have a lot of people from other countries add their names and increase the international attention on the issue. Canada deserves to be thoroughly embarrassed by this ridiculous situation. Campaign Life Coalition is hoping for many, many more signatures and will continue the campaign until it seems opportune to wrap it up.
