We are back! We hope you had a peaceful Christmas. LifeSiteNews will be doing some news catch-up over the next few days.

Bravo to L'Osservatore Romano for its blunt emphasis on the dangerous scientific realities of hormonal contraceptives. This is NOT about religion. However, it has taken a religious organization, motivated by its commitment to truth and the dignity of women and of every human life, to promote this politically incorrect information.

Canada's Conservative Prime Minister has felt compelled once again, in response to a pro-life statement from one of his own MPs, to repeat his vow to block any change to Canada's total lack of an abortion law while he is Prime Minister.

PM Stephen Harper is not a pro-abortion ideologue and is in many ways a decent PM - certainly preferable to the other party leaders. Still, many pro-life Canadians believe his unnecessarily extreme political strategy on the ongoing, large scale murder of tiny Canadians is gravely mistaken. Replace the hidden "unborn" with "slaves" or "Jews". Would Stephen Harper follow the same strategy then?

The shocking revelations about the role of Catholic priests, theologians and professors in the Kennedys' change from pro-life to pro-abortion confirms our emphasis on Catholic Church news stories. This is only one of numerous similar stories that we are aware of in both the US and Canada. Canada's former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and his Justice Minister, John Turner, who brought legal abortion to Canada in 1969, were also both negatively influenced by rebel Catholic clergy and theologians.

Out-of-control, influential Church officials have played major roles in advancing the culture of death and other cultural decline in North America and Europe. Despite many wonderfully positive developments in recent years there is still a huge amount of rot that needs to be cleaned up within Catholic institutions in the developed West. Bishops have got to start taking much stronger actions against the dissidents, including public fraternal correction of seriously dissident bishops - the bishops all know who they are. With our factual news reports we will continue to do our part - for the protection of life and family.
