RE: LifeSiteNews.com – Wednesday July 1, 2009

I want to commend you for your valiant commitment to the sanctity of human life and to your dedication to finding and reporting the truth, at a time when so much of the media, and of our world, tries to hide from inconvenient truths or find some way around them.  From what I can see, you operate with the highest integrity and your ultimate goal is the building up of the culture of life and the Body of Christ.  But we will never arrive at this goal without a willingness to look clearly at the truth, even when it exacts a price from us.

“Is Pro-Choice the New Pro-Life?”

Regarding the above-mentioned article published on June 30, 2009: I was one of the individuals polled at the time, and I had no doubt as to what the terms “pro-life” and “pro-choice” mean.  I also remember vividly that the poller asked this and all other questions in an extremely professional, neutral manner.  Furthermore, I am a nineteen-year-old female, one whom most would expect to be pro-choice. However, I am unapologetically pro-life, and I can see that the pro-choice movement is growing ever more desperate to deceive and recruit young women such as myself.

I greatly appreciate all the work done at LifeSiteNews, and I thank you all for your bold and straightforward reporting.  You are an immensely valuable resource.

Re:Canada's Federal “Conservatives” Give $400K to Toronto Gay Pride Week

Letter sent to Prime Minister:

Dear. Prime Minister Harper,

I was distressed when you refused to re-open the abortion issue. While thousands of human lives are lost yearly on the altar of women’s rights with no legal right or representation of their own, I seriously considered leaving the Conservative party of Canada. In this country, it is legal to kill a baby that is perfectly viable in the last trimester and your party stands by and does nothing. That sir, is condoning murder.  Even with that , because the opposition parties are not what I consider alternatives I would want to see in power, I decided to continue to support your party. At least, you would continue to support other conservative values.

I am concerned about current budgetary decisions but tried to understand your choices considering similar decisions in the United States and an opposition looking for any kind of weakness in order to attack the government.

Awarding $400,000 to the Toronto Gay Pride Week (https://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/jun/09061817.html) is something that I will not overlook.

I was hoping and praying that this government would do all possible to protect the family unit regardless of whether that is politically correct or not.  It is obvious that this is not the case. As Herman H. Wills wrote:

“History has shown over and over again that once a society devalues children, marriage (family) and accepts homosexuality as a norm then it's on its last legs.
…this sexually saturated social environment is destroying families and is harming children and our once beloved culture. Support of such an outpouring of sexual interest by a minority with financing of any magnitude is not supportable for any reason and does not bode well for the government's interest in preserving or interest in families. It does look like Canada is a run-a-way train with nothing but a calamity to stop it. For it is certain that we lack the statesmen and spiritual leaders capable of turning this nonsense on its head.”

In the next election, I will consider the candidate that best represents children, including the pre-born, family and moral values regardless of political stripe.
