TORONTO, June 10, 2009 (LIfeSiteNews.com) – A week-long course taking place in Toronto in July will prominently feature discussion of the abortion issue and the pro-life cause, as well as delve into the issues surrounding human trafficking.

The course, titled “School of Prophetic Justice, 2009,” is being sponsored by the evangelical missions agency Youth With A Mission (YWAM), an international movement of Christians with over 16,000 full-time volunteer workers in nearly 1,100 operating locations in 171 countries.

According to School of Prophetic Justice organizer Jari Koivu, the organization annually trains 25,000 short-term missions volunteers and, among many other educational, relief and development services, has a strong focus on pro-life work and crisis pregnancy care.

An important aspect of the group's work is the foundation of crisis pregnancy centers and maternity homes, which they call Living Alternatives, with centers located in the US as well as in Romania, England, Belgium, Cyprus, Russia, and Ukraine.

The School of Prophetic Justice, 2009, which will take place at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, July 12-17, 2009, will be an opportunity to listen to and interact with several renowned speakers in an intimate classroom setting.

Among the speakers scheduled for the event will be Stephanie Gray, the executive director of the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform (CCBR) – an educational pro-life organization which promotes a scientific and philosophical defense for the position against abortion. Gray regularly gives pro-life presentations across North America and in Europe.

Phil Gazley, who works as an advocate and trainer for the development of social justice programs in local churches, community organizations and NGOs, is a board member of Youth with a Mission in Denver. He assisted in the foundation of the Colorado Network to End Human Trafficking, through which he trains local law enforcement to deal with human trafficking. He will address this growing global problem during the seminar.

Other notable speakers include Faytene Kryskow of 4 My Canada, TheCry; Juanita Lubin of the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship; Cheryl Thomas, former director of the London Crisis Pregnancy Centre and board member of Christian Association Pregnancy Support Services; and Ro Potter, founder of the Freedom Project, a ministry geared towards raising awareness, educating and preventing human trafficking in Europe.
