Homosexualism to be Promoted at Canadian Human Rights Museum, Says New C.E.O.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, October 26, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The head of Canada's forthcoming Museum of Human Rights, Stuart Murray, vowed before a gathering of the homosexual community last night that the homosexualist agenda will be given a 'vital voice' at the museum, reports the Winnipeg Free Press.  The national museum, funded by various sources, including $100 million from the federal government, began construction in April and is currently expected to open in 2012.

"I'm here as the president and CEO of the Canadian Museum of Human Rights to tell you that you will have a voice at the table," the former Manitoba Conservative leader said.  "Sexual orientation will be a theme and will be explored in the museum."

Murray spoke to about 100 members of the homosexual community, gathered at a local bar for the 15th anniversary of the homosexualist magazine OutWords.

Murray's appointment last month to the Museum concerned homosexualists due to a vote he cast in 2002 against an NDP bill that extended various privileges to homosexuals rightfully reserved to married couples, such as adoption rights.  At the time he indicated, however, that he supported homosexual rights, but had voted against the bill because he wanted to represent the majority of Manitobans.

Sunday's address was Murray's second gesture of support to the homosexual movement last week. He also attended the 'Reel Pride Film Festival.'

"My personal belief is dignity for all people," he said Sunday.  "The right to be committed to the person we love is not a gay right, it's a human right.  The right to raise children with peace and security and with access to education free from discrimination, is not a gay right, it is a human right."

The Museum has been criticized by pro-family advocates from the beginning as a propaganda piece for liberal ideology.  Most recently, it has been noted that the Museum's 'Content Advisory Committee', in charge of determining the displays, is heavily biased toward radical feminism and homosexualism.
