PRO-LIFE CUBAN MD TO PRISON OVER PROTEST

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 23 (LSN.ca) - Oscar Elias Biscet, a pro-life MD in Cuba who lost his job at a government hospital due to his refusal to commit abortion on demand, faces seven years in prison for protesting against the holding of political prisoners. The Associated Press reports the harsh penalty stems from his alleged November 3 hanging of the Cuban flag upside down in protest.
