"CONSERVATIVE" MP ATTACKS STOCKWELL DAY FOR PRO-FAMILY STAND
Scott Brison Vilifies Pro-Family Stance As "Intolerant"
OTTAWA, Mar 15 (LSN.ca) - On Monday, Scott Brison, the federal Tory finance critic, slammed Alberta Treasurer and Canadian Alliance leadership candidate Stockwell Day. Referring to Day's pro-family stance on homosexuality, Brison called Day a "social dinosaur." Attacking Day and all who hold to the traditional understanding of the family, Brison said, "People call him a social conservative but social intolerance is a more appropriate description of his perspective." Day, whose immense popularity has been seen as a threat by both Liberals and Tories has taken a beating in the media since the announcement of his candidacy for the leadership of the CA.
