TEACHERS TAKE IN SEXUAL PERVERSION CONFERENCE

GUELPH, Apr 7 (LSN.ca) - Teachers, and other participants at the Annual Conference and Training Institute on Sexuality in Guelph, Ontario, will have the opportunity to attend sessions on "Getting together: How and why bisexual women form communities," "The Joy of Cybersex," "HIV and Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Youth" and "Awakening your sexual self:

The so-called "training institute" has been held in Guelph for the past 20 years, notes conservative Sun columnist, Michael Coren in a column this week. "Individual teachers are given financial support to attend the conference and many of them have the entire fee ($325 plus expenses for the full conference) paid by schools and school boards," he notes. "The conference itself is held and partly financed by the University of Guelph, meaning more tax dollars."

"June 20 sees a seemingly useful discussion of 'Teachers' Perspectives on Sexual Health Education',' continues Mr. Coren, "but is followed the next morning by "The women's bathhouse experience," a description of which is unworthy of this news service.

"What is so very dangerous is that this conference is supposed to give teachers an education in how to shape and mould the young. ... While the organizers of this circus might be forgiven for wasting our cash, they must not be let off for wasting our kids."
