BC LAUNCHING "MASSIVE" "EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION" PILOT PROGRAM

VANCOUVER, Aug 1 (LSN.ca) - The British Columbia government seems to have resolved legal problems associated with doling out abortifacient morning-after pills to women without a prescription from a doctor. Michelle Stewart, a spokeswoman for the BC Ministry of Health told the Toronto Star that "BC is launching a separate, massive pilot program in September involving emergency contraceptives . . . the program will distribute the pills through pharmacies and will not require women to obtain a prescription first."
