PRIESTS FOR LIFE LEADER URGES PRO-LIFE HOMILIES DURING LENT
NEW YORK, March 4, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In his March-April newsletter, Fr. Frank Pavone, the head of Priests for Life suggests several methods to incorporate preaching on pro-life into the upcoming season of Lent.
The season, which traditionally includes penitential practices could include, says Fr. Pavone, "Volunteering at pregnancy resource centers ...mak(ing) such centers better known in the community" or establishing a fund to support one. Fr. Pavone also notes that "To stand up in any way for the unborn child can be a penitential act, since it often brings unwarranted criticism, even from fellow worshipers who should be doing more themselves to end abortion."
