FIJI'S 12 ABORTIONISTS RAKE IN $1 MILLION PER YEAR

SUVA, March 26, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Even though abortion is illegal in this South Pacific island state, Fiji's abortionists earn $1 million annually, with the country's 12 known abortionists themselves earning an average of $120,000 per year as authorities turn a blind eye.

The price for aborting a one-month unborn child ranges from $150 a month to $200 for the 10,000 women per year believed to seek an abortion, up from 7,000 just five years ago. Fiji Medical Association president Mary Schramm says many of the country's doctors oppose abortions, but the high fees that are the going rate probably entice some doctors to pad their practices with the discredited killing trade.
