U.S. JUDGE SAYS U.S. LEGAL SYSTEM IS "CORRUPT BEYOND RECOGNITION"

Boston, April 7, 2003 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Feb. 26 Massachusetts News reported that Judge Edith Jones Told Harvard Law School students that the American legal system is "way out of kilter" and "corrupt beyond recognition".

Jones was speaking to the University's Federalist Society on February 26 and said "the question of what is morally right is routinely sacrificed to what is politically expedient. The change has come because legal philosophy has descended to nihilism". She continued, "Having lost sight of the moral and religious foundations of the rule of law, we are vulnerable to the destruction of our freedom, our equality before the law, and our self respect."

The news reported Jones bemoaned the trend of the "legal aristocracy" to shed their professional independence to become "businessmen" who "pander to the clients goal through deft manipulation of the law."
